Alternatives to Birdfeeders Hands-on Workshop

Feeding birds is a beloved pastime for many people, but did you know that in spite of our good intentions, feeding birds can sometimes do more harm than good?
Join OLT Executive Director Laney Wilder for this hands-on workshop where we will explore the potential downsides to feeding birds and share some alternatives that are safer for the birds and will still allow you to enjoy our feathered friends.
Participants will construct a wool bird nesting material ball and sow a tray of native wildflower seeds to take home along with instructions for winter seed sowing (an easy method of seed starting that mimics natural processes).
