Fay Woods Trail Workday
Friday, July 17 at 10am
Volunteer with us as we prepare the Grace M. and Robert S. Fay Woods for its public opening! We will be building a trail system which will be open to the public for passive recreation. After our work is completed, we will be treating our volunteers to ice cream just up the road at Westview Farm.
What: Building a new trail system. This will involve cutting back vegetation to clear a trail corridor, raking leaves and surface material from the trail surface and cutting or moving obstructions.
When: Friday, July 17 at 10:00am
Where: Fay Woods, On East Hill Rd south of the intersection with Munn Rd, Monson, MA 42.088365, -72.289487
Parking: Park on the roadside on East Hill Rd. Please avoid parking on Munn Rd.
*Please bring water, sturdy closed-toe shoes, work gloves, hand saws, and loppers if you have them.
