Join Forest Health Specialist and Opacum board member Felicia Hubacz for a walk at Claire Birtz Wildlife Sanctuary in Southbridge, MA. Felicia will be talking about tree identification where you can learn how to identify common Massachusetts trees with some tips and tricks. Also, learn about the forest health issues currently being seen throughout Massachusetts and what to look for to identify them properly.
The Claire Birtz Wildlife Sanctuary preserve is located at 444 Tipton Rock Rd in Southbridge, MA. Please be aware that sections of Tipton Rock Road are impassable! Do not approach from Blackmer Rd. or Lebanon Hill. Take Rt. 169 (N. Woodstock Road). Park at the trailhead parking area on Tipton Rock Rd.
Walk starts 1 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
