Join Opacum Land Trust Board Director Lucas McDiarmid and TerraCorps Service Member Emma Comeau for a guided paddle exploring the Quaboag River!

The Quaboag River and surrounding lands provide important wildlife habitat for many species, supporting a rich and active ecosystem and offering a great opportunity to observe a variety of local wildlife. Along the way, we’ll take in the diverse flora and fauna that call the river home while also discussing current threats to our local waterways. We’ll also explore the history of the river and its importance to the surrounding towns. We might even see an osprey or two!

We will meet at Whites Landing in Brookfield at 10:00 AM and depart shortly after for a one-hour paddle. Participants are welcome to bring their own kayak, canoe, or paddleboard. Kayak rentals will also be available on-site through Whites Landing for those who need them.

RSVP is required for this event, and additional event details will be shared after registering.

We hope to see you on the water!
