Monday April 27 from 9am – 12pm
What: Creating brush piles to promote bird habitat.
Where: Morneau Farm. 324 Blackmer Rd. Southbridge, MA
Directions: From Rt. 131 heading southeast (after the roundabout), turn right onto Old Dudley Rd then turn right onto Blackmer Rd. Continue for ~0.75 miles, and the property will be on both the left and right. Park on the roadside across the street from the barn.
Parking: Park on the roadside across the street from the barn. This property includes a working farm. Please avoid parking near the barn as to not disrupt the tenant’s activities.
*Please bring water, sturdy close-toed shoes, layers for warmth, orange clothing for safety during hunting season. Also bring work gloves, clippers, loppers, and hand saws if you have them.
*Note: Opacum Land Trust hosts a long-term tenant farmer at Morneau Farm. As such, this property is not open to the public except for during official Opacum Land Trust events such as this.
