Our Annual “Fall for Opacum” Dinner
“Where's Your Walden?”
An evening with Dr. Robert M. Thorson
We are honored this year to feature guest speaker Dr. Robert Thorson, whose topic “Where's Your Walden?” will connect his lifetime of scholarship in the subjects of geology, Henry Thoreau and New England’s landscape to the special character of our region.
Dr. Thorson is a professor of geology at the University of Connecticut, the author of seven books; his newest, The Guide to Walden Pond, provides explorers and readers a new opportunity to learn deeply about the natural and cultural history of this iconic American place. Join us for our annual dinner at the Publick House. Tickets will go on sale in July, but you can reserve your seats now by phone or email.
Tickets can be purchased online at OpacumDinner.BrownPaperTickets.com
