Our aim is to protect the New England charm and rural character of our communities, promote proactive conservation, and the creation of greenways and wildlife corridors. Opacum Land Trust is able to permanently protect open space through donation or purchase of land, bargain sales, or by holding a conservation easement. Opacum Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donors can take advantage of charitable tax deductions, income tax deductions, or reduced property or estate taxes to the maximum extent allowable by law. OLT has no paid staff- we are an all-volunteer group. All donations go directly toward land protection efforts and operating the land trust.
